BUYING A HOME MADE EASIER

Buying your first home will probably be the most stressful but rewarding experience. What we are here to help you and your home.

There are some questions that you would like to ask yourself about. First off you want to ask yourself what your timeline is, when would you like to be moved into this new home. Once you’ve got back to work and you should start looking.

Another question you want to think about is your budget. Unless you can pay your house with cash you want to get into the pre-qualified with the bank. This will show you what you should look at. Keep in mind this is just a pre-approval so it does not mean you’re going to be able to afford it. This is a very important step, but it is less scary than you think! There are a few questions asked and some proof of your income and that’s about it.

The next thing you want to do is establish the criteria you are looking for in a home with your broker. You will meet and let them know exactly what you are looking for. The more details the better. Maybe you can create a checklist to help you and your broker see attached for some examples. Once they are looking for you, they will be able to start their research. They will not only be able to look at their resources, but they will also be able to work on their networks. The more they know they can do it.

The last step will be to go on visits. There is no set number of visits that you will not be able to make before your day. If you are too busy you may be overwhelmed. It is best to keep the visits to a minimum. Once you find that dream HOME OWNER !

There are 3 major steps in this process

  • Pre-qualify for your loan
  • Establish the criteria with your broker
  • Go for visits and make your offer

Now you have these tips, they can greatly help you on where to start. Remember buying a home shoulds be a great experience so a trained realtor will help you enjoy this time much more if you find the right one!

Good luck!
