Fear continues to immobilize sellers who were eager to transact at the beginning of the year. While the concern about opening their doors to visitors potentially carrying the virus is quite understandable, delaying the sale of a property could end up disadvantaging them. 

Indeed, the real estate inventory is more limited than ever, which means that people wishing to sell their property during the COVID-19 crisis could be rewarded with faster and more successful transactions than usual. 

At the beginning of 2020, it is estimated that there was one property for sale for every five or even ten buyers on the market. The inventory is even more reduced since the beginning of containment. This means prices remain stable and even tend to increase! However, this favourable trend will not last forever and sellers should seize the opportunity before it ends.

These people, therefore, do not have the time (or the desire) to wait and see “how things play out”.
